Preserving books, records, and collective memory of the Bangsamoro people through a unified library and archival system.
The Bangsamoro Library and Archives System is mandated to collect, preserve, organize, and provide access to information resources, archival records, and cultural heritage materials of the Bangsamoro Government.
It serves as the official repository of government publications and historical records supporting governance, education, and research.
The Regional Library was created through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on June 25, 1980 between the National Library and the Lupong Tagapagpaganap ng Pook (LTP), and was formally opened to the public with Mrs. Adela B. Dulay as its first Chief Librarian.
